Keep your account password to yourself, even for copy trading
This post is also available in Persian ←

Copy a manager's trades without sharing your password: the PAMM Iran expert advisor opens them on your own account at the volume and stop you choose.
The message is familiar: "Give me your account password and I will trade for you." Maybe from a trader with a good record, maybe from someone you know.
A few weeks later, some people find an account traded at heavy volumes, with no stop loss, and nobody answering.
The problem is not copy trading itself. The problem is handing your house keys to someone who was only supposed to look through the window.
Why is sharing your password dangerous?
A trading password means full trading authority. Whoever holds it can:
- trade at any volume they like, even several times the risk you agreed to;
- remove the stop loss or never set one;
- use your account for trades that serve them, not you.
And you usually find out when it is too late.
What does proper copy trading look like?
In professional copy trading, nobody asks for your password. Software runs on your own account, receives the manager's trades and executes them under rules you set.
PAMM Iran copy trading software does exactly that:
- The manager creates a strategy on their own account, published and reviewed on PAMM Iran, and installs the sender EA on their terminal.
- You choose the strategy and run the receiver EA on your own MetaTrader or VPS.
- Every manager trade reaches PAMM Iran signed, and your EA opens it at a volume that fits your own account.
The money stays with the broker, in your name. PAMM Iran has neither your account password nor access to your money.
You stay in control
With this approach, you set the risk, not the manager:
- Sizing method: in proportion to your own equity, or a fixed multiple of the manager's volume.
- Maximum volume per trade: no trade opens larger than the number you set.
- Equity stop: if the account falls as far as you decided, copying stops and copied trades are closed.
- Stop at any moment: one button stops copying; no request, no waiting.
An honest note: the equity stop is best effort, not a guarantee. In fast markets or during an internet outage, closing may happen at a worse price. That is why you should set it at a loss you can genuinely accept.
Entering at a stale price? No
A common headache in copy trading is the late entry: the manager opened the trade, the price moved, and you enter minutes later at a worse price.
In PAMM Iran software, every strategy has a maximum allowed delay. If a trade reaches your EA later than that, it is not opened at all. Trades opened before you started following are not copied either; only from now on.
How do I know a manager is worth following?
A strategy can only be built on an account published on PAMM Iran. So before following, you see that account's page: monthly returns, drawdown, losing months and the data label.
Pay attention to the label. A "declared" figure was reported by the manager, while a "verified" figure comes from the account's own data. We explain the difference in full in Declared or verified returns?
The strategy list is alphabetical, not a ranking. The choice is yours.
For account managers: income, without holding other people's money
If you are an account manager, copy trading lets investors follow your trades without handing over money or passwords:
- with a software subscription, you build a strategy on your own published account;
- you set a monthly following fee, and after the PAMM Iran share, your earnings are paid to an IBAN in your own name;
- every follower has seen your account's real performance before following, so the trust is built on data, not promises.
Profit promises are not allowed in this service. Your credibility comes from your account's performance.
Start today
- Browse the strategies on the copy trading software page.
- Read each strategy's account page carefully.
- Start with a low multiplier and a realistic equity stop.
Read the step-by-step guide in the Help Center. Account managers should see the copy trading guide for managers.
Leveraged trading is high risk and can lose all of your capital. Past returns do not guarantee the future.
Your account password is yours. Let it stay that way.
