Before your first real capital: seven questions to ask yourself
This post is also available in Persian ←

Before connecting money to any managed account, ask these seven questions; the answers say more about your readiness than any ad.
Most first-experience losses come not from market inexperience but from the investor’s inexperience with themselves. Before the first real capital:
The seven questions
- If I lose this amount entirely, will my life change?
- How does my chosen method work? Can I explain it in plain words?
- Where is my loss limit, and when do I exit?
- What source does the manager’s record come from?
- How are the fees calculated?
- If a hedge fires, what will I do?
- Am I diversified, or is everything on one decision?
If even one answer is vague, it is too early. Complete the academy courses and the risk guide.
Frequently asked questions
Should I start with a small or full amount? Start with an amount that makes the learning real but whose mistake won’t shake your life. Starting small buys cheap mistakes.
How can I practise without money? A demo account to practise the process, the academy to practise knowledge. Finish both before real money.
Is asking these once enough? No; your situation changes. Repeat this checklist every few months.
How much money do I need to start? The right number follows your risk plan, not the accounts’ technical minimums. The pyramid rule: an amount whose loss would change nothing in your life; then step up gradually with experience and discipline. Each account’s minimum is only a technical floor, not a sizing recommendation.
