A checklist for ending a PAMM allocation

Track a PAMM exit from request to settlement and confirmation. Review open exposure, fees, valuation timing and final records separately; submitting a request is not receipt of funds.
Ending a PAMM relationship is not one event. Submitting a request, ending participation in trading results, calculating the allocation and receiving funds may happen at different times. An exit checklist gives each stage an identifiable status and evidence. It does not make exit immediate, cost-free or loss-free.
Define what is ending first
A full allocation exit, a partial withdrawal and stopping new contributions may be different requests. Do not substitute a button label or short message for official terms. Record the contracting entity, allocation and exit-rule version. Establish whether the request covers only that allocation or also terminates another service.
Separate the exit window from valuation time
The submission deadline is not necessarily when the allocation is valued. Market movements between request and valuation can affect the result. Ask how open positions and charges not yet calculated are treated. A balance seen at submission does not establish final exit proceeds.
A hypothetical distinction between statuses
Suppose a request is accepted today but the rules value the allocation at a later processing window. Acceptance does not mean all exposure ended at that moment. Calculation, settlement and transfer may have separate statuses. This is not a timetable for any particular host and must be checked against the actual agreement.
What should be recorded before submission?
- The exit type, requested amount or percentage and relevant allocation.
- The latest allocation report, data timestamp and open-position status.
- Final-fee terms, minimum balances and period restrictions.
- The official submission route, responder and tracking method.
- Rights to cancel or amend a request, only where the rules provide them.
Reconcile the final calculation independently
The pre-exit allocation, period results, cash flows and charges should be traceable. If a provisional figure is corrected later, retain its earlier version and the reason. A discrepancy is not automatically misconduct, but a generic settled message should not close an unresolved question. Read performance-fee and high-water-mark treatment in the valid account terms.
Ending authority is not the same as closing exposure
Stopping new participation or disconnecting a link does not necessarily close existing positions. Ask about pending instructions and responsibility for remaining exposure. Do not demand urgent action outside the manager’s contractual authority. This article instructs no trade closure, extra deposit to accelerate exit or disclosure of account secrets.
Close the record using actual evidence
Keep the final report, allocation-termination confirmation and receipt evidence or unresolved balance status separately. Transfers should use the host’s official route and an approved destination belonging to the account holder, not another person’s account. When reviewing accounts, read termination terms before entry and consult existing routes in the help center. This framework authorises no record deletion and guarantees no repayment.
