Exchange versus broker: what is each one’s job?
This post is also available in Persian ←

An exchange converts currency; a broker gives access to financial markets. Confusing the two is the source of common trouble.
Many newcomers treat an exchange and a broker as the same thing. That confusion is the first source of trouble.
Each one’s job
| Aspect | Exchange | Broker |
|---|---|---|
| Main job | Currency conversion (e.g. rial↔USDT) | Access to financial markets (forex etc.) |
| Output | Digital currency in your wallet | A trading position in a trading account |
| Next step | Deposit into a trading account | Trade and manage positions |
The right PAMM Iran path
First convert at an introduced exchange, then deposit into a trading account at a broker — and for management, pick one of the account-management methods. Both lists side by side: exchanges and brokers.
Frequently asked questions
Can I trade forex without USDT? It depends on the broker; some accept rial/card deposits. But the common path on our platform is USDT as the bridge.
Do exchanges offer forex? Some offer “crypto trading”, which is not forex. For financial markets you need a trading account at a broker.
Is exchange profit the same as trading profit? No; converting currency is a rate gain, trading is opening/closing positions with full risk. Confusing the two muddles your costs.
Can I buy USDT directly from a broker? Some brokers offer conversion services and some do not; that difference is part of the same four-pillar comparison. What matters is the path’s quality: the rate, deposit and withdrawal costs, and compatibility with your investment method. Measure any path by these three, not by its label.
Summary
The exchange is the bridge, the broker the destination, the management method the path. Choose them in order: exchanges, brokers, accounts.
