Transfer networks and fees: which network should I pick?
This post is also available in Persian ←

Picking the wrong network for a USDT transfer can mean lost funds; network differences, fees, and the test-first rule.
In crypto transfers, the biggest technical mistake is choosing the wrong network — funds sent to the right address on the wrong network can be very hard to recover.
Three core rules
- Sender and receiver networks must match: if the platform gave you a TRC20 address, do not send on another network.
- Check the fee: network fees differ; weigh the fee against the amount and urgency.
- Test first: for large amounts, send a small amount first and confirm it arrives.
Do not copy addresses from notes
Take the destination address from the platform itself, not from a chat or an old note. Fake addresses are the main transfer-scam method.
Supported networks in the wallets guide.
Frequently asked questions
Who takes the network fee? The blockchain network, not the platform. Network fees change with congestion and are shown before sending.
May I take the destination address from a chat? Never; only from the platform’s official page. An address from a chat is the most common lost-funds story.
My transaction is stuck — what now? Keep the transaction ID and follow up with support using that exact ID.
Who sets the network fee? The blockchain network, not the platform; the fee is the cost of recording the transaction on that network and it changes with network congestion. The platform displays it live so you see it before confirming. That is also why comparing “the fee” across two different networks is an incomplete comparison.
Summary
Right network, official address, test first — three habits that keep transfers safe. Supported networks: the wallets guide.
