Claims to avoid on a managed-account referral page

Claims to avoid on a managed-account referral page

Profit guarantees, approval claims and unsupported figures can mislead on referral pages. Tie each statement to evidence, dates, scope and clear incentive disclosure.

A managed-account referral page is more than a link. Readers may infer safety, returns and credibility from its headline and a few sentences. When a statement exceeds the evidence, a small disclaimer at the bottom does not fix the main impression. The goal is accurate, correctable communication, not a more attractive version of an unsupported promise.

Statements that need to be stopped and reviewed

Phrases such as certain profit, risk-free, guaranteed compensation for every loss or the best account in the market should not appear without a valid basis and explicit scope. Even a contractual undertaking does not establish the provider’s ability to fulfil it or the conditions for a claim. Past results in risky trading must not become a promise of future outcomes. This article reviews promotional wording, not the legality of a named provider.

Registration is not comprehensive approval

An account listing, identity check, permission for a particular activity and review of one report each have different scopes. None automatically establishes approval of all performance or a capital guarantee. If independent review actually occurred, state its subject, date and limitations. A platform name or logo must not imply an endorsement that never took place.

Rewrite without inventing evidence

Instead of saying a manager makes money every month, establish whether a reviewable report exists at all. If it does, a limited statement may describe that report’s specific period and return basis without omitting losses or costs. If evidence is unavailable, say there is insufficient information to support the claim. Do not invent a reporting period or example percentage and present it as a real track record.

Give every number a short evidence record

  • Source, access date and covered period.
  • The account or population actually represented.
  • Currency, calculation method and whether costs are deducted.
  • Whether the history is live, simulated or backtested.
  • Excluded observations, declines and limits on independent reconciliation.

Qualifications belong near the claim

A prominent return headline can leave a false impression when costs and loss risk appear only far below it. Review banners, social previews and the English headline as well. Limited advertising space does not justify dropping an essential qualification. If a claim cannot fit with the necessary context, choose a narrower accurate statement.

Separate referral incentives from trust

Commission or financial cooperation should be disclosed clearly in a way that reflects the actual relationship. Advertising payments do not buy ranking or credibility and must not secretly influence selection or trust assessments. Disclosing an incentive does not make an inaccurate statement true. Readers should understand the difference between promotion, reviewed information and the writer’s personal opinion.

Correction is more than deleting a sentence

For an outdated or incorrect statement, record its location, previous version, correction reason and date. Republishing channels and translations may still carry the old wording, so follow those through too. Corrections should not disclose user information or publish unproven accusations. Editorial correction does not replace relevant complaint procedures or legal duties.

Before referring to trading-account information, preserve the scope of the evidence it actually contains. Use the cooperation route to define a referral relationship. An inquiry or payment creates neither automatic approval nor a trust score. This is an editorial checklist, not a guarantee that an advertisement complies with every jurisdiction’s rules.
