Brokers and trading infrastructure
Choosing a broker: where to start?
This post is also available in Persian ←

Regulation, execution, costs and support; a four-pillar framework for choosing a forex broker.
The broker is the foundation of every trading decision; a bad one ruins even the best strategy. The four-pillar framework:
The four pillars
- Regulation: what oversight is the broker under? Where are its terms published?
- Execution: real spreads and commissions, slippage, execution speed — on a live account, not just in ads.
- Money: deposit and withdrawal terms, fees and payout timing.
- Support: precise answers at the moment of trouble, in your language.
The practical step
Score the platform’s introduced brokers against this framework and test with a small amount before big capital. List: introduced brokers and the broker-choice guide.
Frequently asked questions
Is a platform-introduced broker guaranteed? Introduction means initial vetting and cooperation terms; an unconditional guarantee means nothing. Run the four-pillar framework yourself too.
Is the lowest spread the main criterion? No; a low spread with bad execution is the most expensive choice possible. Look at total cost + execution quality.
What amount should I test a live account with? An amount that is meaningful but tolerable; the goal is seeing real execution, not profit.
Is the broker with lower spreads always better? No; spread is only one of the four pillars, and focusing on it hides the other three: execution, money terms and support. A broker with lower spreads and heavy slippage is in practice more expensive than one with fair spreads and precise execution. Measure the all-in cost.
