Prop Shield versus stop loss: different controls, not substitutes
This post is also available in Persian ←

A trade-level stop differs from an equity-triggered hedge request. Understand symbol scope, netting accounts, costs and monitoring responsibilities.
A trade control and an account monitor
A stop loss belongs to a particular position or order and is executed under broker facilities. SEPAR compares account equity against configured thresholds in the terminal. These are different measurements: a trade’s stop may not have triggered while whole-account equity has reached a SEPAR threshold. Neither provides a guarantee of a slippage-free result or an absolute loss cap.
What a hedge request does
SEPAR requests an opposite market order for net lots on the current chart symbol. It is not a pending order accepted in advance, and it does not guarantee simultaneous coverage of every symbol. The broker may reject it, delay it or fill it at a different price or volume. An offline terminal cannot send the request.
Hedging and netting accounts
On an account that retains separate opposing positions, an opposite order can change net exposure on that symbol. On a netting account it may reduce, close or reverse the existing position. A hedge label in the interface must not replace checking account mode and firm restrictions. Verify EA permissions and opposite-position rules before installation.
The loss remains
A hedge does not erase floating loss. Spread, commission, swap and margin costs can increase, and managing the exit still requires a decision. After an accepted-request report, do not panic-close positions without reviewing terminal data and account rules. An event recorded by the platform does not mean it controls the broker’s trades.
Optional case review
If useful, request Trading Emergency review for a hedged or high-drawdown account. It is optional, does not replace your decisions and does not guarantee trade execution or loss recovery. A record of submitted information and case steps is different from a direct broker connection.
Conclusion
Treat Prop Shield as a monitoring and opposite-order attempt layer, not a substitute for stop losses, account insurance or a guaranteed challenge pass. Enter recorded settings manually into the EA, test compatibility and continue independent account monitoring.
