From trader to trusted account manager · Lesson 1 of 4
Listing an account and connecting data
7 min
Trust starts with data
Investors today do not trust screenshots. An account manager's first step is to show performance from the account itself.
Three steps
1. List the account: register the trading account with its method (PAMM, MAM, copy or dedicated management), broker and a clear description. Guide: listing a trading account. 2. Connect data: choose one of two ways: - Investor (read-only) password: data is read every few minutes and carries the "verified" label. No trade or withdrawal is possible with this password. - Official broker statement: you upload the MetaTrader HTML statement and a reviewer checks it. 3. Review and publication: after review, the account is published in the public list.
The full connection guide is in data connection and performance verification.
What is shown
Monthly return, largest drawdown, losing months, length of record and the data label. Losing months are shown too, and that works in your favour: an experienced investor is suspicious of a flawless record.
