What they are for
Domestic crypto exchanges let you buy and sell tether and cryptocurrencies with rials. Many investors in Iran buy tether this way and move it to their broker account or wallet. PAMM Iran shows an exchanges list and a tether rate comparison, each with its source and time.
How to choose
| Criterion | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Track record and transparency | Official registration, clear ownership, accountability |
| Security | Two-step sign-in, withdrawal allowlists, cold storage |
| Liquidity | The buy–sell spread and market depth |
| Fees | Trading fees and withdrawal fees per network |
| Withdrawal networks | Support for TRC20, BEP20, TON and others |
| Support | How fast they respond when something goes wrong |
Safety tips
- Turn on two-step sign-in and put your withdrawal addresses on an allowlist.
- Before withdrawing a large amount, send a small test amount.
- Match the withdrawal network to the destination network (wallets).
- Do not keep large balances on an exchange for long periods.
An alternative
If you would rather not use an exchange, the PAMM Iran treasury also converts rials and tether using cards and wallets in your own name.
